When used as intended, rubber, thermoplastic and PTFE hoses are generally suitable for use with organic oils according to VDMA 24568 or ISO 15380, oils based on synthetic esters (HEES), on rapeseed oil (HETG) and on polyglycol (HEPG). However, additives and various operating conditions can limit this stability.
The operator is also responsible for periodical oil management to ensure proper operation of the hydraulics. If quality assurance maintenance is not carried out, wear or even failure can occur, for example due to cavitation or abrasion in the hose connection.
EN 857 2SC
Application:
High-pressure hydraulic lines up to 400 bar with compact external diameter and high flexibility.
• For use with mineral oil, synthetic or water-based fluids in hydraulic systems
• Suitable for agriculture, construction machinery, and lifting equipment and machines/systems
• Standard: EN-857-2SC, exceeds SAE 100 R2/2SN
• Interior construction: oil- and water-resistant synthetic rubber
• Insert: two steel wire braids
• Cover: black, synthetic rubber, resistant to oil, weather, ozone and abrasion
• Temperature range: continuously: -40°C to +100°C
• Intermittently: max. +120°C
In accordance with EN 853/857 it is permitted for 25/50 m rolls to consist of a maximum of two lengths. The shorter piece is at least 10 m long.
