When used as intended, rubber, thermoplastic and PTFE hoses are generally suitable for use with organic oils according to VDMA 24568 or ISO 15380, oils based on synthetic esters (HEES), on rapeseed oil (HETG) and on polyglycol (HEPG). However, additives and various operating conditions can limit this stability.
The operator is also responsible for periodical oil management to ensure proper operation of the hydraulics. If quality assurance maintenance is not carried out, wear or even failure can occur, for example due to cavitation or abrasion in the hose connection.
EN 857 2SC EXCEEDS (higher operating pressure)
Compact hose with low weight and high abrasion resistance for use in construction and agricultural machinery.
Application:
High-pressure hydraulic lines for operating pressures from 200 (DN 25) to 450 bar (DN 6)
• Recommended media: mineral oil and synthetic or water-based hydraulic fluids
• Standard: exceeds EN 857-2SC, SAE 100 R16
• Interior: oil- and water-resistant synthetic rubber
• Reinforcement: two braided layers made of brass-plated steel wire
• Cover: black synthetic rubber, resistant to oil, water, ozone and abrasion
• Temperature range: -40°C - +100°C
• Max. operating temperature: short-term up to 120°C
In accordance with EN 853/857 it is permitted for 25/50m rolls to consist of a maximum of two lengths. The shorter piece is at least 10 m long.
