Apple CarPlay

CarPlay - the smart and safe way to use your iPhone in the car. KENWOOD takes this type of iPhone integration to a new level. Voice commands are reliably implemented via the Siri function; alternatively, the large buttons can be used to control Apple Maps, telephone functions or the music player. The current iOS version (iOS 12.0 and later) also supports the CarPlay-enabled navigation apps Google Maps™, Sygic™ and Waze™. Thanks to the DMX7722DABS’s WiFi function, Apple smartphones can even be connected wirelessly. (Compatible smartphone required).



Android Wireless Mirroring

Thanks to the integrated WiFi module, the connection can be easily established wirelessly via Android Wireless Mirroring. This gives you quick and convenient access to all apps, including navigation and music, via the touchscreen.



Android Auto

The Android Auto menu interface is designed for simple and intuitive operation. As an alternative to control via the large buttons, many of the applications provided by Android Auto can also be conveniently operated via voice control. It is even possible to search for a contact and start a call without having to take your hands off the steering wheel. The dictation and read-aloud function for WhatsApp or text messages complete Android Auto’s selection of helpful communication features. In addition to accessing the smartphone's own music library, it is also possible to use the Google Play Music streaming service or other Internet radio services. For navigation, Android Auto uses Google Maps with voice-assisted route guidance including integrated current traffic data, as well as the navigation apps from Sygic and Waze. Thanks to the integrated WiFi function, compatible Android smartphones can even be connected wirelessly.



Bluetooth hands-free kit

The Bluetooth module allows users to make phone calls safely and conveniently while driving. The call quality is secured by the external microphone supplied and the sophisticated sound processing with echo and background noise suppression. Another extremely practical feature is the option of connecting two phones at the same time and operating them in parallel. With the new Kenwood Music Mix function, up to 3 phones can be paired in parallel for music playback. For audio streaming via A2DP, the AVRCP profile with extended control and search functions (including display of title, artist, album, etc.) is used. Touch menus make it easy to use all Bluetooth functions, and access to the phone book is possible, as is the callback function.



Kenwood Remote S

The Kenwood Remote S app turns compatible Android and Apple smartphones into comprehensive remote controls for compatible Kenwood moniceivers. The app is controlled via large touch buttons for basic commands such as pausing or skipping tracks, which can be carried out via the app on the smartphone. The Kenwood Remote S app is available free of charge from the Google Play Store and in the App Store.



DSP with digital time alignment

The Kenwood moniceivers have a wide range of digital audio functions that help to implement the brilliant sound of the 24-bit D/A converter even under difficult acoustic conditions in the car. In addition to a 13-band equaliser or a digital active crossover, features such as the Stage EQ also help to make music playback in the car as realistic and true to the original as possible. In addition, the digital sound processor enables time alignment for correct music playback, and can be set individually for each channel.



Very low installation depth

The DMX7722DABS mechaless moniceiver does not require a CD/DVD drive and has been designed to significantly reduce the installation depth. Instead of the usual 160 mm for double-DIN devices, the model only requires an installation depth of 75 mm. This means that the moniceiver can also be installed in extremely tight slots.



Adjustable viewing angle

The responsive 7” capacitive touch panel has a screen diagonal of 17.3 cm and displays a clear, high-contrast image. To ensure that it’s possible to read the display even in bright sunlight or at difficult installation angles, the contrast and brightness distribution can be adjusted in four stages to suit the viewing angle. This means that the on-screen menus are always displayed in rich black and with good contrast.
