Wildlife saver
Faster and wider agricultural mowers with an area coverage of up to 20 ha/hour are responsible for killing more and more wild animals such as mice, common toads, hedgehogs, lapwing chicks, partridges, pheasants, hares, rabbits and fawns. Wildlife losses also occur in less obvious areas such as hay and straw baling or muck spreading.
Should an animal carcass get into the feed during harvest, herbivores risk contracting botulism. It is possible to avoid the unnoticeable spread of this disease in dairy herds using the wildlife saver.
Mounted on agricultural machines, it scares wild animals away from the danger. The sound is only emitted in one direction, which is advantageous for the driver in the tractor cab who will notice very little of the sound.
In order to protect wild animals the device must be positioned so that the sound is thrown into the area to be cut. For large working widths, two to three devices should be placed a certain distance apart. Storage bag with hook and loop closure.

GRANIT Wildlife saver

Effective wildlife rescue & wildlife deterrence

Part no.:525525643
Version:
• Splashproof
• Low power consumption
• Easy to use
• Volume: 94 dB
The fawn saver is a universal, time-saving tool for deterring game that will minimise the number of personnel employed for fawn saving operations. The loud beeps and blue flashing light prevent fawns from being left in the field by keeping game away from dangerous areas. The interval switching function gives the doe time to lead her fawn out of the meadow. The blue flashing light also drives away other wildlife such as wild boar or predatory game. The device is powered by four standard 1.5 V batteries integrated in the housing. These last for approximately six months when the device is operated at intervals.

• LED flash, continuous
• LED flash, at intervals (10 min. off, 10 sec. on)

Effective wildlife rescue & wildlife deterrence

Part no.:525525644
Version:
The fawn saver - our advanced game deterrent device - allows does to independently guide their fawns out of danger.
The large working width and high speed of harvesters mean that young animals are at risk of being killed. Animals killed by mowers leave deadly pathogens (botulism) in the harvested feed. Severe poisoning can occur if contaminated feed is consumed.
The solution: use the fawn saver. Success rate of 90 to 100% in our own tests. The fawn saver is a visual/audible game deterrent device. The signals are randomly generated so that animals don’t get used to them. The ease of use means that even large areas can be protected quickly and cost-effectively: approx. 10 to 20 ha can be covered with just 3 devices.
• Observe the areas in question 2 weeks before mowing
• Set up the fawn savers 1-2 days before mowing
• Mow from the inside out
• Monitor the performance in the evening after mowing
These steps will help to optimise the performance of the fawn saver.
Possible applications:
• Rescuing fawns
• Guiding game for hunting while avoiding damage
• Protecting arable and forest crops
• Scaring away martens
