ARGUS pipe couplings enable leak oil-free connection or disconnection of filled lines.
The coupling consists of a fixed and a loose half. The two halves are connected by screwing them together with a hand nut up to the stop. Valves in both halves open against spring force. When disconnecting, the valves close before the coupling halves separate. This also prevents air from entering the lines. The coupling process can be carried out by hand at a pressure of up to approx. 20 bar. Tools can also be used for connection or disconnection at higher pressures. When disconnected, the coupling halves are protected against dirt and damage with the parts specified under accessories.
Materials:
• Housing and internal parts made of galvanised steel, valve sleeve in the loose half made of brass
• Patented Cr-III zinc coating with special passivation for maximum surface protection
• Seals made of NBR
Suitable for fluid lines with mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids according to DIN 51524 and DIN 51525.
Temperature range: from -30°C to +100°C.
