- In common rail engine technology, exhaust gas coolers have the important task of cooling the exhaust gases to the right temperature to meet the emissions standard. The associated temperature changes produce condensate which results in corrosion damage. This can cause leaks, which result in the exhaust gas cooler having to be replaced. The tightness and cooling performance of the GRANIT exhaust gas coolers have been tested and a material analysis carried out by our laboratory. The laboratory result shows that the service life of GRANIT exhaust gas coolers is as long as that of products from OE manufacturers.
