The relay structure is shown in the images (example: meshing solenoid). The core is connected to the housing and extends from one side into the magnet winding, the flexible relay armature from the other side. The distance between the core and the relay armature equates to the lift of the armature. The solenoid housing, core and relay armature form a magnetic circuit.
