When used as intended, rubber, thermoplastic and PTFE hoses are generally suitable for use with organic oils according to VDMA 24568 or ISO 15380, oils based on synthetic esters (HEES), on rapeseed oil (HETG) and on polyglycol (HEPG). However, additives and various operating conditions can limit this stability.
The operator is also responsible for periodical oil management to ensure proper operation of the hydraulics. If quality assurance maintenance is not carried out, wear or even failure can occur, for example due to cavitation or abrasion in the hose connection.
PTFE hose, smooth, 2 braids
Application
PTFE hose has excellent high- and low-temperature characteristics, very good chemical resistance, no contamination properties, a low coefficient of friction and high ageing resistance. PTFE hoses are generally used for applications where all the above-mentioned properties are desired or required, e.g. in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries or in plastic and rubber injection moulding machines. The interior can also be made conductive for special applications in order to prevent electrostatic charge.
Standards:
SAE J517 - 100R14 Construction
Interior: tube made of sintered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Reinforcement:
double braid made of stainless steel type 303/304 Temperature:
-54°C to +260°C
